In reality, this boot camp class is like a good Swedish massage. Seems like fun when you start it, hurts like a bitch going through it, but you feel so much better after it.

Amidst the cosplay events in Toronto, you may see giant, stunning (sometimes glowing) wings in the distance above the heads of a crowd of photographers - that heroine in the middle is often Ashari (cosplay alias).

“Terror and Beauty” is apparent in every work by Bacon and Moore, as both artists drew inspiration for their work from personal encounters with war and its death and ideals.

Taka Sudo, a Japanese born artist residing in British Columbia, recently displayed his work at Hashtag Gallery's 2nd year anniversary with his show "Kinetic Moments." ...Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this kind of epic inspiration after all.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, May the 4th was a time for bounty hunters and Jedi to aggregate and as Yoda would say, "down, get."

Beards for men are like cosmetics for women—they can pleasantly augment a man’s face and raise attractiveness while masking flaws or, like an orange-based foundation in a cloudy jar, they can go horribly, horribly wrong.

I’ve been visiting the One of a Kind Show annually for a few years now. It’s a huge exhibition held twice a year in Toronto – made up of artists, designers and makers - both seasoned and rising stars. It used to take me hours to go through the exhibit, and I would still feel like there wasn’t enough time to see everything properly.

Coming from a family of artists and being involved in various art forms my whole life, I know at least what it takes to be great. Whether it's martial arts or music, the mark of talent, I've found, is the ability to produce quality product at any moment. When Chris Murray of Matic Music PG invited Culture Toronto to the Music mansion to check out Pluto, Paul and I had no idea what we were in store for...

From its first words, Bioshock Infinite stands out as just different from any other games out there, tackling themes usually reserved for classrooms, or the Bible. What else talks about religion and race so maturely while at the same time having characters with super powers?
I didn't find Jonathan looking for the artists that studied at the most prestigious schools. I could care less whether he has the most prestigious mentor or not, and nobody really looks at an artist's resume seriously. When I was creeping on Instagram looking for artists like Ilichna Morasky that could create accompanying art for something as wild as Beyond Measure however, Jono's work stood out.

There is something out of this world about Ilichna Morasky, something strange and familiar in each piece she makes that draws you in and makes you wonder what it all might mean. Seemingly soft spoken with a glorious smile she can't seem to contain, we approached the artist and mentioned that we needed art for that crazy short story I wrote about the doctors and the suicide and all that madness. Not everybody can draw accompanying art for something that abstract and complex, it takes a very talented person.
